Ebikes have soared in popularity for many reasons and has enticed people of all ages to start riding, go back to riding or continue riding as they age.
Reasons For Buying An Ebike
(1). Exercise – yes you can still get exercise with an ebike. It is called pedal-assist. You can control how much you want to pedal and when.
(2) Running Errands – An ebike gives you the freedom to go places to go that are too hilly or too far way to ride a tradtional bike and that you don’t want to take a car.
(3). Casual Recreation – Ebikes are great for going to nearby social events, park, walking trail, track, art trails or event where traffic or lack of parking is an issue.
(4). Commute – An ebike is an excellent mode of transportation for short commutes.
(5). Side hustle transportation – Many side hustle jobs include some kind of delivery. Ebikes make an excellent choice for this type of job.
(6). More Active – An ebike encourages you to be more active, to get out and about.
(7). Mountainous/Hilly Area – If you live in an area that has lots of hills, it makes riding a traditional bike a bit harder for those that are out of shape or have mobility issues. The ebike makes riding much more inviting.

Types of Ebikes
Class 1: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph.
Class 2: eBikes that also have a maximum speed of 20 mph, but are throttle-assisted.
Class 3: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 28 mph.
Each state has different rules regarding rules and regulations of ebikes.
The State of Arkansas gives ebike riders similar rights and duties to that of traditional bicycle riders.

Since we recently received a complimentary Lectric XP 3.0 Step-Thru ebike, we thought a review of this bike would be helpful for our readers.

How compact it is: This bike is very compact and foldable. It can fit in a rubber tub or simply packed into an rv, truck or suv. The hardes part (for some) is the lifting of the bike to storage or a vehicle to transport.
The Display Settings: Are easy and work smoothly and include mileage, maximum and average speed, battery power, odometer, trip odometer, voltage. PAS (Pedal Assist goes to Level 5) User friendly power button, + and – Controls increase or decrease fuctions for your PAS and settings on your LED screen
Shimano Shifter – Change gear going up or down hills.
Throttle – perfect to give you a boost while riding or crossing an intersection.
Step-Thru – It is easier to step thru for those with mobility issues, but you will also find once you start riding, you will want some kind of cargo basket/bin or something for the back of your bike. (running errands or attending events, hence the need for the basket).
Once you have the basket/bin behind your seat, it makes it problematic to swing your leg over the basket/bin and the seat to the bike.
PRICE – This price makes the Lectric XP 3.0 a great starter ebike, easy on the budget, a great commuter bike or those looking for nearby side hustle delivering jobs.
U.S. Based Customer Service – Another bonus is the customer service is based in the US (Phoenix, Arizona) and prides itself on exceptional customer service. This includes after-sales servicing setup.Note: Lectric Employees are given 2 bikes as soon as they start working so they can truly understand the bikes.
Fast – This bike is a class 2 and maximum speed is 20 MPH. However the bike can easily be converted to a class 3 bike.When you have a passenger on the back you will use the passenger mode with a maximum speed of 10 mph.
Powerful – 500 Watt motor includes double the torque of the 2.0 Version. This means the speed is the same, but it will get you there much faster.
Also climbing hills or inclines is made much easier with the XP 3.0 version.

Accelerates Quickly – If you need to jet across an intersection of need some extra assistance of a hill or incline, the 3.0 does the trick. You will be amazed at the acceleration.
Rear Rack –The rear rack isn’t bolted on, but welded on and structurally built to have a passenger along for the ride. There is an option to add a comfy passenger seat and pegs (for feet) so a passenger can ride with you (weight capacity for rear rack is 150 pounds).
Also storage bins/bags are available to attach on rear rack.
Foldable – The Lectric XP 3.0 is foldable which makes transporting and storing much easier.
Seat – Large comfy seat to make rides smooth.
Pre-Slimed Tires – The tires are pre-slimed which helps prevent flats and helps the tubes hold air longer.
Hand Grips on Handlebars – Comfy, non slip hand grips to help keep your ride going smoothly.
Improved Suspension – The forks on the front wheel soak up more bumps and jolts along the way for a more comfy ride.
Disc Brakes – With the power of this bike, you need excellent brakes and thankfully they come with plenty of stopping power.
Walk Mode – There is an easy way to walk your bike, turning the PAS to 1 for the walking mode.
LED Display – Is easy to navigate and read.
Lithium Battery – Long Range 65 miles if using only pedal assist, if you use the throttle only 30 miles.
Headlight and Tail light – Come on easily when powering the bike on and provide a powerful large adjustable headlight.
Bike Lock – The folded bike lock that has it own sturdy rubberized case that is attached to the bike. The lock is handy and is easy to use.
1 Year Warranty – This warranty covers everything for one year with the exception of wear and tear of the bike and water damage to the battery. They offer an extended warranty too. (please check Lectric site for more details)
Assembly of ebike: Assembling the bike was very easy. The bike was packed extremely well and removing the packing and caution cards took far longer than actual assembly.
Your ebike will come in a sturdy box. It can be a little challenging to pull the bike out of the box, but doable. The ebike and battery weigh 64 pounds.
Be sure to pay special attention to the yellow caution cards attached to the bike. These items need to be double checked, they may have come loose during shipping.
This ebike is powerful and the last thing you need is to have some critcal part malfunction because of some easily tightened screw wasn’t tightened, etc.
The bike will have the handle bars pointed backward with the bike folded just in front of the seat. (see pic below)

What We Think Needs Improvement
Key Placement – The key is located on the underside of the battery. This makes it inconvenient to access.
Weight of the bike – This bike has so many quality options, but it is a bit heavy to lift for transportation. Granted, you shouldn’t have to be lifting it on a regular basis, but just be aware it is around 64 pounds, battery included.
No USB port for charging of phone – It would be so convenient to have a USB charging port to charge your phone.
No printed owner’s manual – A printed owner’s manual isn’t included, however Lectric does provide a pdf owners manual that you can read online or print out. They also have video that gives you basic information.

Final Thoughts
If you have thought about buying an ebike, the LECTRIC XP 3.0 is a quality ebike at a great price. The lectric XP 3.0 is in our opinion, we believe this bike is the Most Reliable eBike. Be sure to check out our youtube videos here.
